Commissioning a Bespoke Bog Sculpture
Eibhlín/Helen has always been able to tune into the deep tales of history present in these ancient, sacramental and native woods that are such an inherent part of Ireland’s story. In her work she finds it her destiny to re-tell, embody and ingrain these stories in each bespoke sculpture using a mix of traditional skills and modern technology. It’s really about creating a momento for the future to `capture’ the history!
Commissioning an ancient wood sculpture – of yew, oak or pine – whether it’s an abstract, a conceptual, a fauna or flora or a figurative sculpture, will involve working directly with Eibhlín/Helen to create a work of art that you have provided the kernel of an idea for – either from documented inspiration, or wording, from photographs, or sketches shared. Eibhlín/Helen will always be thrilled to discuss with you – your sculptural desires and aspirations. As a guide, her private commissions usually require an investment between 3.000 euro and 10.000 euro, commercial installations are more often inclined to go beyond his figure depending on the scale involved etc.

Eibhlín/Helen can absolutely guide you in initiating a commission that is unconditionally expressive. The works you meet on these pages are not the entire extent of Eibhlín/Helen’s artistic knowledge and bravery but she is always happy to meditate on a concept, confront any challenges set for her and truly knows her onions in the sculpture division.

Creative Notice
‘Please note that the creation of an original piece of fine sculpture is a profoundly personal and an extremely synergic process of creation. It is important for you to understand the commissioning/design process and for me to understand exactly what your desires are. There are some guidance steps to the design process but mostly my creativity thrives on the free flow of ideas, intuition and innate feelings that are essential in bringing to life an artful commission,’ says Eibhlín Ní Chongháile

Once you make contact, Eibhlín/Helen will be able to give you an idea of her current work schedule. In order that Eibhlín/Helen can envision and birth the form of your commission – it is really helpful to see where the art will be placed – so please attach some additional photos and videos in your contact form.
Getting Started
Eibhlín/Helen will forward three designs based on your inception comments sent in the below contact form. Upon agreement of design, 50% of the commissioning fee is payable. The remainder 50% payable on courier dispatch of the commission.
